Open for public comment: management of mild-moderate UC guideline

The AGA Institute is seeking public comments on a new guideline for the medical management of patients with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis (UC), which focuses on use of both oral and topical 5-ASA medications, rectal corticosteroids and oral budesonide. Unless otherwise specified, the guideline does not present separate recommendations for induction and maintenance of remission, nor does it specifically address the use of biologic therapies and/or immunomodulators. 

The AGA Institute is seeking public comment on the clinical practice guideline, Clinical Decision Support Tool and technical review for the medical management of mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis. The technical review is an objective report of the clinical evidence underlying the recommendations for clinical practice presented in the guideline. Please review the following documents:
